Well, this week was awesome! We had so many miracles happen! We were walking one night and all of our appointments fell through and I looked at my companion and asked her where we should go. We found the couple that are going to get married on the 17th of April on the street. They looked quite sad. They told us that they were waiting for a guy to bring them money so that they can eat. They are only eating once a day because the dad doesn't have work. So being us, we went down the street bought them some food and brought it to them. It made us feel good. We also have a goal that if our appointments fall through that we go with a member and we share with them. We went with the president of the relief society. She is super sick but so so sweet. She has problems with her kidneys so when she returns home from working, her legs are very swollen. My companion gave her a massage because my companion is awesome and is a cosmetologist. :) She was extremely grateful and shared with us that she doesn't like to get attached to the missionaries because they always get changed or go home and she started to cry. It was really sweet. <div>
We also are teaching a sweet 10 year old that is probably the smartest 10 year old that I have ever known. Her mom is a member. We taught her about the restoration and the ten year old understood all of it and then we went to go teach her this week and we asked her if she believes that the church is true and she said yes. We asked her why and she said because it has apostles and a prophet and the priesthood and revelation. I was shocked. I have never heard that answer from a ten year old before. We taught them about family history and we asked the girl if she has family that has passed away and she said 'mi abuelita' (my grandma) and we kept teaching but then realized that she was crying. She told us that she never got to know her grandma. And we taught her that she can see her grandma again and she was super excited. We are taking them to the family history center this week. :) </div>
<div>
It has been raining so hard and the river keeps growing and growing. We were working one afternoon this week and it started to rain SUPER hard. We felt like it was the second coming, and all the members are thinking the same.. haha :) But please pray for the people here. There are many that are leaving their houses and can't enter their house for the river. And it is supposed to keep raining until the end of April. </div>
<div>
Saturday we went to the womens conference. It was fun! We went with all the sisters in our zone and a member. We watched it in Spanish and it was fun because this time I could understand every word :) Woooo </div>
<div>
Yesterday we received an amazing miracle! We were in church and we helping a couple that we are teaching get to church with his grandson and another guy that is blind to get there as well. We got to church and we were happily waiting for it to start and we saw another couple that we are teaching show up and then another and another. 10 of our investigators showed up yesterday to church. we were shocked! All of them are excited and wanting to get baptized and married and all that fun stuff. We have a lot of work to do this week. Also I received another surprise. One of the less actives that I taught in my first area in Iquitos showed up to my ward yesterday! It was awesome. He stayed and attended the classes and then afterwards talked with me. He is now preparing to go on a mission and baptized his brother on Saturday. His brother we taught a ton when I started my mission but said that he just wasnt ready to get baptized yet. But he got baptized on Saturday! He was asking for forgiveness for all the things he put me through when I taught him, for not wanting to come to church and for not reading the Book of Mormon. He is awesome and I started to cry. </div>
<div>
I am so grateful for all the things that I have learned in my mission, I have had so many experiences that have assisted me to grow and learn in this gospel. I love the people of Peru. Peru has my heart, I know it is cheesy but it is true. The people here have a way of getting to your heart and loving you no matter what you have done or if you have yellow hair and can't speak Spanish. They are ready to hear this gospel. Not only have I seen people change and get a conversion but I have seen a change in myself and felt more and more a conversion in myself to God and Jesus Christ. I am so very sad to leave Peru and go home, but as I have learned in the mission, every change is for a reason and it is preparing us for something bigger and better. The only constant is change. </div>
<div>
I will see you all next week :) </div>

</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Well I am going to start out with what happened on pday. We worked at night and it was kind of rough. We had a lot of people that turned us down and didn't even want to listen to us. When we got home and entered the house my companion was like 'que es eso?' (what is that?) and we looked at the ground and found a huge spider the size of my hand! I screamed super loud and then the spider began to jump and jumped to the wall probably because I screamed so loud. Haha my companion and I were freaking out. Normally my companion is brave enough to kill the spiders, but this time, nope, she was just as scared as I was. But we stood there in our house with brooms, not knowing what to do. My companion said, "Let's call Mama Ketty." She is our pensionista. We called our district leader first. He didn't answer so we called our pensionista. She started to laugh! We were screaming on the phone to her and she said 'ya me voy' (I'm coming). She came with her husband and in the meantime when we were waiting for them, we were standing on guard with brooms just in case. They came and her husband killed it. We were saved! <div>
The next day we went to family history with one of the members we are teaching. He is blind. He had an accident in 2009 and now he can't see. He is awesome. He comes to church by himself and makes his way around really well. We went to the family history center and he did his family history and he got the opportunity to send the name of his dad to the temple. They sent it and he started to cry. It was amazing we could feel that there were angels in the room with us :) </div>
<div>
This week there has been 10 times the amount of rain. We are teaching a few people that live on the rivers and their houses are being flooded because the river is growing from all the rain. We went to go visit one of the families at night and we were peacefully walking along these skinny bridges above water. We didn't think anything of it and then we entered the house, taught, and at the end of the lesson we were leaving and my companion asked how deep the water was. We were told it is very deep. It is 2 meters and then it just gets deeper and deeper. Haha we were freaking out. We told the sister to watch us so that we didn't fall and we made it safely. We are good :) haha </div>
<div>
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OOgcE3cz-Ig/VRC5OP6tr_I/AAAAAAAAApA/QhiG3U38icQ/s1600/10455672_1600598176850861_7339843962338304569_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OOgcE3cz-Ig/VRC5OP6tr_I/AAAAAAAAApA/QhiG3U38icQ/s1600/10455672_1600598176850861_7339843962338304569_n.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a>We also had training this week with the mission president. It was really good and we learned a lot. We went to go eat in a restaurant and it started to rain really hard, as usual, and we had to return to the offices. Imagine a group of white collared shirts and skirts running in the rain, the majority gringos. It was pretty funny for my last training :) </div>
<div>
Then yesterday we did a blitz and all the missionaries had to come to one church to meet up and it started to rain, again, but this one was super strong and lasted until we got home at night. We got soaked and we were super cold, I felt like I was in snow, but we kept going. It was pretty funny. </div>
<div>
We found an awesome family this week. We were contacting a reference of one of our investigators and we found a girl that is a member. There were three teenage boys there and they were all sarcastic and told us they wanted to listen as well. My companion and I are always super defensive because I am a gringa and there are always guys that are dumb, but they all sat and listened really attentively and then they told us that they had attended the church before and it was awesome. We are going to visit them all next week again :) </div>
<div>
I hope the weather is good in Utah and there isn't any snow and that it has all gone away so that I can survive in a few weeks :) I love you all. I hope that everything is amazing. Take in every moment and enjoy it :) </div>

I was so excited. I wanted to see his mom. He led me to her and it was so great to see her! We hugged, she gave me juice and bought me a papaya. She is so sweet, I was so excited to see her. :) I am sending a picture of the two of us.<br />
<div>
We also have been organizing a wedding all week. The happy couple are getting married the 27th and we need to do an activity to raise money. We are going to do a bake sale that we are super excited about. The bishop's family is going to help us and everything is going great with that. All week we were running from one side to another, organizing all of it and trying to teach at the same time. They are such a cute couple and are super excited to get married. We are making chocolate cake and apple pie to sell. </div>
<div>
We are teaching another couple that is really the cutest. The husband is very fun. He had a stroke so he talks slower and walks slower but is very bright and intelligent. He always smiles when we come and loves to learn. He said that he listened to the missionaries before, but he didn't like it because they tried to pressure him to get baptized. He loves us because we haven't been pressuring him. He finally accepted to come to church this week, but when he heard that it was stake conference and he had to take a motokar to go he said it was better to go the next week. So they will be coming to church next week. His wife is super cute as well, she just looks at me and laughs. I really have no idea why. Perhaps it is because I have blonde hair and I am talking Spanish :) Haha</div>
<div>
We had a funny experience happen. My companion and I sleep in a bunkbed and we were going to go to sleep. I think it was Saturday night when I was climbing the bed and my companion was teasing me and grabbed my ankle. I jumped with my knee on the bed and suddenly the boards that held my mattress up fell on my companion's bed. It's funny because we were just joking around about on the RM movie when the big Tongan guy falls on the returned missionary. The good news is that my companion wasn't sleeping and the boards didn't fall on her head. Haha, but now I don't trust the bed. I am not sleeping on top. Luckily we have extra beds in our house so I am sleeping on the floor with a mattress. That was an adventure. :) </div>
<div>
Things are going well! Iquitos is super rainy and sunny at the same time. :) </div>
<div>
I hope everyone has an amazing week! I love you.</div>

Well, if you saw by the title, we have been eating a lot of bananas, why? Because I love them, they can do so many things here with plantanes and bananas, it is so good! Our pensionista makes us some everyday, I love them :) <div>
This week we saw a miracle on Tuesday. We have the family that we are teaching with the husband that it is in a wheelchair and his wife, well they aren't married, as usual, but they are the sweetest family on this planet. They have two children that are just adorable. We invited them to pray for a date to get married for the 28th of March. They accepted to pray and then we went to go visit them on Tuesday. We asked them about their prayer and they are getting married the 28th of March!! Wooooooo :) We were super excited they are both very content. They have been talking with the bishop and have finding solutions for his work he hasn't been getting paid. I'll send pictures. I hope they go through. </div>
<div>
All Saturday morning we worked in the rain, then it rained all weekend. There has been a lot of rain but in 2 minutes a lot of sun will come out that burns your skin. Hah! That is the climate of Iquitos :) </div>

I hope my sweet nephew this week has an amazing birthday. He is turning 2 years old! I love that kid! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAXTON! </div>

<em><span style="color: cyan;">Well, this has been a week of a lot of miracles. We have learned a lot and seen a lot. </span></em><div>
<em><span style="color: cyan;">We started out the week with transfers and we didn't get changed. I will be finishing my mission in Morona Cocha! Woo :) We were happy. My companion was more happy because she will be 'killing me'. </span></em></div>
<div>
<em><span style="color: cyan;">We found a less active this last week that was really cool. We have always been looking for her but we always just found one of her daughters that are members as well. But this time we found the 3 sisters together. We came in and sat down only to find that one of the sisters was in her bed crying. We asked what happened and they said she had a stomach infection. I looked at her and I didn't feel like that is what it was. We started with a prayer and shared something about the church but I just kept looking at the girl in the bed, I finally started to ask her questions about her life..."Do you have a husband?" "Do you have kids?" She responded and started to cry more. She said that they were going to have kids but she lost her baby when she had four months being pregnant. We shared a scripture with her and talked with her and she seemed to feel a little bit better when we left. She didn't come to church this Sunday, but we are going to keep visiting her. </span></em></div>
<div>
<em><span style="color: cyan;">We had a work visit this last week, I was in the area of the sister leaders and my companion was in our area with one of the sister leaders and it went well. We learned what we can do better. I got to know a different area, but I like my area more :) </span></em></div>
<div>
<em><span style="color: cyan;">Saturday night when we got back together with my companion we went to go work in the afternoon. The visits that we had fell through so we started to 'walk by the spirit'. That's what we call it. We came across a members house and suddenly something stopped me and I saw this guy sitting and watching soccer. I started to talk to him about soccer and asked him who was winning and I asked him if he was a member. He said no, and we kept talking. Then he invited us to come in. We started to talk and he confessed that he is a member, but inactive. He explained that his wife left him when they had their children and that a lot of stuff has happened. He works traveling for months at a time. He says that he knows he just needs to choose to come back. He was awesome. He explained to us that it was luck that we found him because he was going to leave and go work for a month and a half on Friday, but he decided to stay until Monday and then we found him :) </span></em></div>
<div>
<em><span style="color: cyan;">After that we were walking and we wanted to go find a girl that we taught one time that we never found again. We went to see if she was home and we found her mom. Her mom said that she was a little upset. She let us come in and we felt the spirit so strong. It was awesome. We taught her a little bit and she said that she felt a lot better and that she wanted us to teach her children as well. :) </span></em></div>
<div>
<em><span style="color: cyan;">We are feeling good. I am feeling good. I love doing this amazing work and finding those people that God wants us to find. It is amazing. </span></em></div>
<div>
<em><span style="color: cyan;">I hope that you all have an amazing week. It is still hot here and still rains sometimes. Good old Iquitos :)</span></em></div>

What a week it has been, as usual. We worked super hard this last week in the boiling sun!! IT has been so hot lately and the sun has been burning us, and to make it worse the power has been going out a lot so we can't use a fan. AHH...But at least I am getting a tan :) <div>
I don't have a lot of time but we had a good week We had a baptism that was really cool. He is the only one that wasn't baptized and finally he got baptized. He is awesome! Both of his kids gave talks at his baptism. One of his kids just got baptized in November and was super nervous to give a talk because he feels like his testimony isn't that big and not worth much and we explained to him that this will help him and it doesn't matter what it looks like. And he did AWESOME. It was so spiritual and made me want to cry and then the whole family sang together, <em>Families Can Be Together Forever</em>. It was so awesome. They are an amazing family and I am so grateful that I got to know them. </div>
<div>
Well, I just wanted to share that litte experience with you guys this week. Sorry I don't have a lot of time. I love you all :) Have an amazing week! </div>

<div>
What a week! Full of rain! I think we worked three nights in a row in the rain and returned home soaked from head to toe. We had some cool experiences this last week with the people that we are teaching. We have a family that we are teaching that the dad is a member and the mom not, but she is super sweet and they are just awesome and so willing to listen and she wants to get baptized and married. We went with a member to visit them and only found the mom, but we talked with her and taught her about coming to church and she said that she attended the church before but without her husband. Now she wants to attend church with all of her family. They weren't able to come to church yesterday and we don't know why, but we are going to work with them this week. </div>
We left with a member one of these days and we finally found these twins that are less actives that we have been searching for since we got here. They are 17 years old and identical twins. They are super sweet but we went to go visit them with a member and it was hilarious because they talked for probably 45 minutes about the monkey that they had that died in November. They told us everything about this monkey named Martin. He was like a normal person; how he slept, how he ate, everything you could possibly think of. They talked about all of it about this monkey. We wanted to share something with them but they talked so much that we couldn't inturrupt, it was pretty funny. :)</div>
We also left with another member this week and there was a returned missionary that served in Iquitos 21 years ago that was visiting. We heard he was close by so we went to go say hi to him and talk with him. He was very nice. He served in some of the same areas that I did, so we talked a lot about that and he gave us a ton of references which was awesome. He companioned us to a reference that night and it was pouring rain, and the street was full, it looked like a swimming pool. It was cool to see that it is possible that I will return to visit Iquitos :) </div>
Yesterday at church, the bishop got up and made an announcement to the ward that they needed to start gathering food storage. Why? Because it is raining so much in Iquitos that the river is growing a ton and he explained it is going to grow so much that we could be in great danger by living here and the members need to be prepared. It was something really interesting because I could see the worry in his face. So please keep the people of Iquitos in your prayers. :)</div>
This last week was Carnaval, I don't know if you guys remember last year when I wrote about it. Well it was that time again! We couldn't leave our house again. Carnaval it where it's basically like a huge water balloon fight all day. But it all starts on a Saturday and they put up this huge tree thing called the Umisha, with things on top, like Tupper wear and things like that. A bunch of people put them up, there is like 4 or 5 on every street, then Saturday at night, there is this group of people that come around dancing around the Umishas at midnight with masks like a night of Halloween. Then Sunday is when it really starts. All day Sunday they are throwing water and dancing and drinking. It is nuts. They dance around the Umisha and do this ritual thing where they cut it. They dance these dances called pandillas. But we couldn't leave our house because they don't respect anyone. They throw water at anyone they see, especially the girls with yellow hair and green eyes ;) ha ha! So, we were stuck in the house doing nothing yesterday. We studied, talked, ate, it was interesting. <br />But now everything is peaceful in Iquitos. Everyone is sleeping and exhausted from yesterday. :)</div>
<div>
Well I hope everyone has an amazing week and enjoys every minute.</div>

What a week it has been, like usual. We had an interesting week full of more miracles. Our two families that we are teaching that are going to get baptized on the 21st are doing super good. The dad of one of the families is doing awesome and his they remind me so much of my family. They are reading and praying together and are doing great. We are seeing a lot of miracles with this family. <div>
This last week we left our house everyday and we searched references that we had and we found a ton of less actives that live with non members. It was pretty cool, and the less actives all had this huge desire to return to church and remember the feeling they had when they got baptized and the change that they had. It was pretty awesome. </div>
<div>
Another family that we are teaching has the husband in a wheelchair and he is a member and the wife isn't. We taught them Saturday and they said that they weren't going to be able to attend church because the husband had to work but that he asked permission that after this Sunday he will be able to attend church every Sunday. So we were like, awesome, and we went to church expecting that they wouldn't attend. But we were standing in the doors of the church greeting people as they walked in. We were so excited to greet them as they came to church anyway! They found a way and they took it and came. It was awesome. This family is super special and are doing great :) </div>
<div>
It didn't rain as much this last week it was very hot and sunny. My companion and I, we both got super burnt from the sun. We are hoping that it rains again this next week. </div>
<div>
Everything is going really good, working and living the dream and laughing :) </div>
<div>
I hope everything is going good in good ol' Utah. I love you all :) </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What can I say about this week. This week was a little more difficult. We had a lot of appointments, but a lot of the people weren't there when we went to go visit them. We just continued working during the week and trying to find new people. We found some people that we feel are going to progress for the future. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div>
We had a service project this last week with the whole zone where we had to paint a wall. It was fun! We were working and I don't know what it is about Iquitos but EVERYONE likes to give you food and soda and just stuff you full like they are preparing to cook you. It's funny, because in Moyobamba not a lot of people give you food, or Pucallpa, but Iquitos it's almost every house they give us cake or pop or some kind of food. So of course when we were painting, the woman came out with popcorn and juice for us. So we took a break and ate but now we are going to finish the wall this week.</div>
<div>
Also this week we had a blitz in our area where all the missionaries came and searched all of the less actives and found references and everything and that was awesome because we received a ton of references! They found a lot of new less actives and we got to know new parts of our area that we didn't know before. </div>
<div>
We had some fun experiences this last week where we were laughing super hard. We are finding the good news in everything. If people don't want to listen to us or if we don't find the people that we are searching for, we are keeping a good attitude and always laughing. Everything is going really well and we are doing really good. </div>
<div>
There is not much else to tell about this week, But I hope that everyone has a good week and keeps up the big smiles :) </div>

We started out the week great. For Pday we played volleyball with the zone and ate ice cream and had a lot of fun. <br />
We are teaching a family that are really special, they are going to get baptized on the 21st of February, but this last week we found a little problem. The mom likes to <strong>think</strong> A LOT and <strong>talks</strong> A LOT during the lessons. The majority of the lesson is her talking and we just say a few sentences. But we went to go visit her and we started to talk about the sacrament and she started to express her concern about the Catholic Church. She explained that her daughter was still preparing to be baptized in the Catholic Church and that she knows that the church is true and everything but she doesn't know how to let go of the Catholic Church. We listened to her for an hour and a half and in the end she said she knows the church is true. It was an interesting lesson. We are visiting her and helping her with her anxiety, but we know that we are going to see miracles with this family. :)<br />
<div>
We are visiting another family that is amazing, I seriously love this family. A lot of missionaries have visited this family. The whole family are members and the son just barely got baptized in November, except for the dad. He got sick a couple weeks back and he prayed and made a promise with God that if He would cure him from his diabetes he would get baptized in the church. At that moment the missionaries weren't visiting him. They had dropped him as an investigator about 5 months ago. But when we came to this area we started to visit him. His diabetes is gone and he told us he wanted to get baptized. It has seriously been a miracle. He is so sweet and he is accepting everything we say and reading and praying and attending church. He is going to get baptized on the 21st as well. </div>
<div>
There is another family that we are teaching that we could not find for the life of us this last week because when the other sisters left they didn't leave an address to the house. We just knew that these people existed, but we didn't know where they lived. So we searched and searched and asked everyone that we knew and we finally found them this last week. We found the wife and we taught her a little bit and they came to church this last week. The husband is in a wheelchair and they have two kids. When we were in a class on Sunday, the husband raised his hand and wanted to bear his testimony. He started to tell us that he is a member and that he got baptized 20 years ago and that he wanted to return to church. He wanted his wife to get baptized. It was amazing! He started to cry. This next week we have plans to visit them and assist them in getting married. AHHH!!! It has been so incredible. </div>
<div>
Another cool thing that happened this last week when we were doing service with a sister on Wednesday. We helped her cook and we watched her kill a chicken....it was terrible......but while we were helping her we got a phone call of a reference. So this day we went to go visit this reference. We were searching and searching and finally we saw a man waving his arms at the end of the street. We went over and we found a North American, another man, and a woman. The North American is from Las Vegas and is a member. He sponsors people in Peru to go to school and study. He has been to Iquitos 17 times. He started to talk with me. He doesn't know anything of Spanish. He travels with this guy and he translates for him. They are super funny and super sweet. The North American gave us a ton of presents and talked with us. He loved to bear his testimony. They are awesome. </div>
<div>
This week was full of excitement and we are super excited for another one :) </div>
<div>
I hope everyone has a great week :) I love you all :) </div>

Hermana Larsen has transfers she is going to Iquitos! I was shocked, I thought it was a joke because I seriously thought that I was going to finish my mission in Pucallpa but now I am here in Iquitos. We are in a small area and we are opening it. We have been getting lost all week and getting to know the people that the other missionaries were teaching before they got transferred. We have gotten to know some really cool people.<br />
<div>
It has been great to be in iquitos again because I have been able to see some people from my first area. In our pensionistas house she has an aweesome view of the river that we work by. Our area is called Morona Cocha we work right next to a river that is super pretty. I will send pictures so that everyone can see. </div>
<div>
My companion is awesome, she is super funny and was companions in Tarapoto with my companion that I trained, so we get a long really well ;) I hope everyone has a wonderful week and sees some miracles :) </div>

A LOT. We worked to find new people and to get to know our area a little bit more. Our area is HUGE. I still get lost. I will die today in transfers if my companion gets transferred because I do not know our area that well... AT ALL! But I can feel that God is helping me in a way because when we go on divisions and I am not with my companion I always get led to the house that we need to get to in one way or another. So I know everything will be fine.<br />
<div>
We are teaching our Pensionista´s son and his girlfriend. He is awesome. Not too long ago he got in a huge accident because he was driving a motokar drunk and his wife and his little 6 month baby were in the back. They went to the hospital and the baby almost died. The baby is completely better now and the family is recuperating but for my Pensionista´s son it was like a wake up call. Now he wants to get married to his girlfriend and wants to move and wants to go to church more. He is starting to not drink as much or smoke. He wants us to visit more. He is awesome. He told us that he wants to get baptized and married soon but he doesn't want to set a date yet. I love this guy, he is seriously awesome. </div>
<div>
We had a little birthday party with a less active that we are teaching Friday. We ate cake and sang happy birthday. She is so sweet, she feels embarrassed to attend church with things that have happened with her family and the ward. But I think this birthday party helped her a little bit because members of the ward came and it was really good. :) </div>
<div>
I don't have much time. But I want to say that I love you all, especially the my family on my dad's side. I wish I were there to see you guys. I love you all so much and hope that you are all okay. One huge hug for all of you! </div>

It has been quite a week, we have worked SUPER hard, We have walked, sweated, burned, taught, and learned lots of things. We started out the week good, finding new people, and I started to remember how to get to the different houses in our gigantic area.<br />
<div>
Wednesday for service it was New Years Eve and we, well, there is a tradition in Peru that for New Years where you burn a stuffed person basically, you make like a stuffed person on new years eve and then at midnight you burn it like a symbol to start the new year out fresh! So for service we helped our pensionista make her stuffed person, we made a missionary that was pretty fun. Then at night we ate dinner with them and we had fun, it was a blast :) </div>
<div>
We also had a work visit this last week went to the area of the sister leaders and my companion stayed in our area. It was super short because the next day we had a training with our zone. It went well. We had fun and found some really cool people. </div>
<div>
I think that the funniest thing that happened this last week was that yesterday we left with a couple of young adults to go visit people and we went to go find a reference and we were crossing this dirt and when you are in Pucallpa you have to find a certain rhythm on how you walk so that you don't fall. Well, my companion went one way and I thought that I would be okay going the other way and well....my whole leg suddenly sunk in this bright red dirt. My companion had to pull me out and the guy we were trying to find came to his window and the funny thing is that when my foot was still in the dirt, I looked over and asked his name. He started to laugh and let me use his shower to clean off my leg. Haha, but it broke the ice and he let us teach him :) </div>
<div>
Well, there is not much else to tell about this week, there hasn't been much rain lately just a lot of sun and I think it rained one time this last week. </div>
<div>
I hope everyone has an amazing week :) </div>

<div>
Well, I have a lot to say because I haven't written a letter for more than two weeks! Haha where to start. Well we had a couple baptisms. They are amazing. It is a couple that my companion was teaching when I got here, they had some problems they almost separated like a week before they got baptized. But they got baptized and they have SUPER strong testimonies. The husband is all about the priesthood and going to the temple. And the wife, well the night before they got baptized she was super scared because her mom basically told her that she was going to hell if she got baptized in the church of the Mormons. We explained to her about baptism and shared scriptures but in the end I told her that she just needed to pray and take a risk :) And they got baptized! It was great. It was fun, they are a super special family.<br />
<div>
In the spirit of Christmas this last few weeks we have been doing service on Wednesdays and singing in a choir with all the missionaries in Pucallpa in the boiling hot sun with our Santa hats. Haha it has been interesting, Christmas eve we all got sunburnt. All of the North Americans didn't feel like it was Christmas, I am still waiting for my snow :) </div>
<div>
Christmas was super fun, we taught and we got to talk to our families!! :) We woke up super early because our zone wanted to play soccer for our exercise in the morning. So, we woke up at 5 in the morning and we went and played soccer with the two zones in Pucallpa, I slept on the grass...haha then we went and made pancakes with the other sisters and I got to talk to someone from Moyobamba, a member that just moved from there to here for his work. I was so excited! So we went to go visit him and they are doing really good and he was actually talking to the branch president from Moyobamba when we went to go visit them and I got to talk to the family. I was so happy :) I also got a card from my old companion that is still there and she broke the news to me that an investigator that we were teaching that had cancer passed away, I was super sad but I know that we will see him again, I am writing cards to his family to cheer them up a little bit. After all that happened we went and played volleyball and ate with the other missionaries and we watched a movie, Ephraim´s Rescue. All the sisters cried. Haha, it was really good. Then I got to talk to my wonderful family. I am so glad that they are doing good. </div>
</div>
<div>
The rest of the week was good. Everyone is sick here with a horrible cold that gives you a terrible fever and all that fun stuff and of course I came down with it, but I am feeling better today. Yesterday I rested and now today I feel a lot better. </div>
<div>
Lots of rain these last few days :)<br />
I hope everyone has a wonderful week, Love you all!</div>

We started out the week with training with the president for Chirstmas, it was fun, we all had Santa hats, we played jeopardy and we learned about the gifts of Christmas, it was super fun, I LOVE CHRISTMAS.<br />
<div>
We had a couple miracles happen this week, we went to go visit a family on Monday that was going to get baptized this last week and we got to the house and the husband was leaving the house super fast in his motokar and the wife was crying super hard, we walked in the house and talked with her and they had been fighting and he said that he regretted getting married to her and things like that, we made her some dinner and shared with her some scriptures and then we left, the next day we called and the husband still hadnt returned home. We didnt lose our faith we still had faith that everything would work out. Then we called and he was there and we went to go visit them that night with a married couple in the ward and it went really well, this couple now are like a newly married couple that just returned from their honeymoon and they are so excited to get baptized, the husband is super excited about the priesthood and we are super excited for them. They are going to get baptized this week. Faith can move mountains. </div>
<div>
Our mission president gave us a challenge to apply a Christ attribute every week and the last week was faith and this week is hope, I love this challenge because everyday in personal study we have to study this attribute and then rate ourself at night how we did. I like it </div>
<div>
Also for Christmas all the missionaries in Pucallpa, we are doing a skit thing. Half of the missionaries are going to act out the birth of Christ and the rest of us are the angels and we are singing while they are acting, so we practiced that this last week. It was fun, I am excited to see how it turns out. </div>
<div>
Well, I dont have much time, But I hope that everyone has an amazing week and keeps up the Christmas spirit</div>

Well, it happened! I got transferred, it was a huge shock because I seriously didn't feel like I was going to be transferred. I thought I would stay in Moyo for another 6 weeks and then go somewhere else to finish my mission but apparently God wants me in another place. I was super sad to leave, I said bye to everyone and we had a family night Monday night with my branch president's family. We all cried a lot. It was a little rough with my companion because we were getting along so well, we were like best friends and they changed me. She is the one companion that I have had for the shortest time. Then the next day I got to take a car for two hours to Tarapoto and I got to see my old companion Hermana Resanovich! And then we had to fly to Iquitos and I stayed in Iquitos for a day and I ran into some people that I knew from my first area! It was great, I was so happy. It reminded me how much I have grown as a missionary. Then, it was off to.........drum roll please....Pucallpa! Pucallpa is awesome, it is a lot like Iquitos but with a lot more dirt that flies in your face when you are in a Motokar. It's super hot! It has been kind of a shock going from cold to hot again. But it's pretty. Our area reminds me a lot of my first area in Iquitos. The people are super nice. I don't know a lot of the ward yet, but from the members that I have gotten to know, it is great. My companion is super cute and skinny! She only has twelve weeks in the mission. She just finished her training. She is from Equador. This week we started out the week working. We had meeting and we had stake conference. It was fun! There is one stake in Pucallpa. It was funny because all of the talks were about getting married and all that fun stuff, so all of the missionaries were feeling the heat for when we finish. Then last night we got to go to the Christmas devotional. That was fun, I am so excited for Christmas!!!! :) </div>
<div>
But all in all, I am just getting to know my area and the people and Pucallpa, Everything is good and really hot! :) </div>

We had to walk up a lot of hills and in the caves, it was pretty funny, we were all walking on the dirt hill thing that was really weird and we were all asking what this dirt stuff was and then we all noticed that it was big piles of bat poop. Haha but it was awesome. These were different caves than the ones that we went to when I first got here. <div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">We have an awesome family that is preparing to get baptized. It is a single mom and her two daughters. We found them with Hermana Resanovich. She didn’t seem like she wanted much to do with the church so we stopped visiting her. Then Hermana Centeno came and we were walking and I was guiding her through the area, and to be honest I had no idea where to go and who to visit. Our appointments weren’t home and so I asked Hermana Centeno, I was pointing to two houses that were old investigators that we had not visited in a long time. I asked her, ‘which one?’ and she pointed to the house of this family. We taught them and it was super different. She listened and was all about going to church and everything. Then my companion went to go visit her when we were on the work visit the other week and the family was not okay. They were having a ton of problems. Apparently the mom had a boyfriend that was abusing her daughter in many different ways. He was super abusive with the family. We started to focus on them more and now the boyfriend is in prison and they are going to get baptized in December. They are amazing and the mom will just call us to talk and when she wants to see us. We seriously have a special part in our hearts for this family </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> Angels are guiding us </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">We found some more people this week that we feel are going to progress really well. We love our area so much. Oh! I don’t know if you guys remember a family that we are teaching that the husband is really sick with cancer. Well, we went to go visit them the other day and he is getting better, he is talking and he is wanting to eat and wanting to pray, it is awesome. We are seriously witnessing miracles in our area every day. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">We also had an activity this last week with recent converts where we watched a video and we had a testimony meeting and we ate a ton of ice cream! It was so much fun! There was a ton of ice cream! Maybe that is why I liked it so much. Everyone in the branch makes fun of me because I love ice cream so much </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">Also Friday we had a meeting to talk about our investigators and the branch and everything with the elders. After that is was sport night in the branch, so the elders and my companion and I played volleyball and basketball and soccer. It was super fun for the members and for us! We were playing in our skirts and everything, I love being a missionary </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">We had a pretty hard experience this last week with a less active family of the elders. We were walking in our area and talking with our mission leader and suddenly the elders called and were super serious and said we had to go straight to the branch president’s house and tell him to call the elders. We ran to the house and the president called them. What had happened is the boyfriend of the sister was abusing the daughter, terribly; this girl is 14 years old. It was super hard on all of us as missionaries, so the next day the four of us went to her house to visit them; they live super far away, like 20 minutes in motokar. But we went and visited them and the elders gave them a comfort blessing and my companion and I talked with the daughter and they are a lot better. It was great. The spirit was super strong and I am so grateful that we had this experience. God seriously guides us as missionaries and trusts us with these people.</span></div>

<span lang="EN-US">I hope everyone has an amazing week! Today is transfers. Everyone pray that I am not going anywhere! </span></div>

<span lang="EN-US">Hey!!</span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">What a week!! It was my birthday and we saw a ton of miracles this last week. To start off the week we lost our phone and just as it is terrible to lose your phone in your house it is worse in the mission because there is no way to communicate with your leaders or the people you are teaching. What happened was that we went with the other sisters to site see last Monday and I think someone robbed the phone from my pocket because we got home and it wasn’t there. But we spent the whole week trying to find ways to communicate with people, we felt super distant from everything. Until Saturday, my birthday, they found us a phone that is the phone of the elders in another area and we are using that until our new phone comes in December. We had to pay 50 soles each, it was quite the experience. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US"> We had a work visit this last week. The sister leader was in my area with my companion and I went with the other sister leader in her area. I was with another North American and my companion was with a Latina. It was pretty funny, because we talked English pretty much the whole time. But we had some pretty cool experiences. We were teaching and there was these two ladies waiting for us outside of the house and she looked and at me and motioned that I should come outside. We went outside and she asked us if we do therapies. And we were like, no, we don’t do that type of stuff we are missionaries. And we explained and they were like, we have someone that we want you to visit. We made an appointment for them to show us the house a little bit later because we were in a visit at that moment. We came later that night and they showed us a family that the mom had had a stroke and she couldn’t move any of her body, only her arm and her hand. She can’t talk or anything. We went and taught her and her family was super sad and was crying, she has been like this for two months. But the elders came and gave her a health blessing and they are doing better. But the spirit was so strong and it was such a cool experience. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">We also had a mission night where we watched a video and played games. It was super fun, we played a ton of Peruvian games and watched a really cool video about a family that got baptized together. Not many people showed up to the activity but we enjoyed it with the branch president’s family and some other members that came. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">The next day was my birthday and we had a ton of fun, my branch president and his family and the elders in our branch surprised me and we went on a little adventure. We ate fried chicken and rice on leaves with bark spoons. And they surprised me with 7 eggs on my head and flour. It is a tradition in Peru that when it is your birthday that they celebrate with eggs on your head. So I got 7! And it was terrible they also poured a ton of water on me too. It was like a cake on top of my head. It was super fun though. I think my hair still smells like flour and eggs. </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> Then at night another member surprised me with a family night with cake and popcorn and all kinds of treats, it was super fun, everyone said something and I wanted to cry because I love this branch so much, they are like my family here. I have made such good relationships with these people here. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">Then on Sunday it just got better. Well, our investigator that was going to get baptized this week didn’t attend church so she will not be getting baptized this week but she will be getting baptized the next week and she is still super excited. But we had a family that is super cute and sweet that attended church and that is having a lot of problems and they loved church! The daughter loved young womens and the other daughter loved the primary. It was seriously a miracle to see them in church. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">I don’t know if you guys remember a less active family that we are teaching that the husband drinks and used to hit his wife. Well we called them the last week to remind them about church and the husband was drunk and said some weird stuff and then we didn’t talk with them or visit them a lot during the week. We tried to find them but it never worked out. And then the husband found me when we were in our work visit in the other area. He was super embarrassed and felt super bad and was saying sorry and everything., which never happens with him. We went to visit them last night and they are progressing so well, they have changed so much; I was noticing that they have changed so much comparing to when we found them. It made me want to cry. I love this family. They have so much more unity in their house right now. I love Moyobamba </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">Well there is not much to say. I love you all </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> Enjoy every moment because we only have this moment</span></div>

Well, this last week we had a huge rain storm! I mean, huge!! We were going to have a mission night, an activity friday and it started to rain, SUPER hard. So NO ONE came to the activity. And all of the missionaries got soaked in the rain. It was pretty funny, because no one showed up, at all.<br />
<div>
This last week we had some pretty cool experiences, we have this family of investigators that we found as a contact one day and we taught them for a couple weeks and then out of no where we went to go visit them and the dad went to the hospital as an emergency. The found out that he has liver cancer and doesn't have that long to live. The elders came to the house and gave him a health blessing and he was a little bit better but he is really close to dying and we are serving his family, on Saturday we helped them make their lunch and they wanted us to stay and eat with them but we were late getting home so we had to say no. But they are probably the sweetest family ever. I feel very blessed that we found them, the angels were seriously guiding us to them. </div>
<div>
We have another investigator that is going to get baptized on the 29th. We are super excited for her. We always called her (bread of god) I love her, she is 20 years old and is reading the book of mormon, praying, going to church, and studying. :)</div>
<div>
Well, I don't have much else to tell you guys, Moyobamba is the same old same old, my companion is amazing, this week is my birthday!!! :) </div>

<span lang="EN-US">Woo!! Hello to all, What a week it has been, we started out the week with a pday of just the sisters. It was super fun, we went to Rioja, a city that is like 30 minutes in car from Moyobamba and we went to this tourist place that has a river that is super pretty. We ate there and went on a hike and got to put our feet in the water, it was great </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> I will be sending a lot of pictures. I love the jungle!</span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">Also this last week my sweet companion celebrated one year in the mission! WOO!! We ordered special food to eat and we had a little picnic in our house, we also had cake and I also smashed eggs in her head for the celebration of her one year. </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> Haha, it was fun, she also taught me how to dance the salsa, now I can dance it when I get home! It was super fun, it reminded me how much time is flying! </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">We also had a baptism this last week!!! Wooo!!!! </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> It was such a great night, We were having a baptism and also the elders were baptizing a family so we had a ton of people there. We also sung a special number of music, we sang ‘When I am baptized’ in English and Spanish, the Elder Nerdin and I sang in English and Elder Trujillo and Hermana Centeno in Spanish. It was great, we didn’t practice or anything and it went really well, people liked it. But I messed up when we were singing because I knew it a little bit better in Spanish, sad I know, but we laughed a little bit as we were singing. But Milagros got baptized and it was wonderful, she said she was super happy and felt free. It was seriously amazing. Because we have been working so hard here to have baptisms and we haven’t had any for 5 months and this last Saturday was worth all the wait </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> I love being in the mission. </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">Oh and Sunday there was a primary program! It was so cute. The primary in our branch is super small but they are so cute. Oh, I just love this area and branch, I never want to leave Peru, I love it here too much. All of my family and friends should just come here and we can live here together. </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">

Buenos Días! </div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">Well, this last week was SUPER busy, we started out the week finding some new investigators. It was really cool because they gave us a ton of references and then we found out that their references were their family. They are super awesome and nice and super smart as well. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">We also had an awesome activity this last week for Halloween with all of the missionaries. It was great. We had three rooms with activities, we had bobbing for apples, cake in the face and where you had to try and feed another person blindfolded. It was super fun. We were in charge of the cake in the face. What we did is we had a bunch of eggs and we mixed them together so that it was a foam thing and we put them on plates and our branch president had to ask a question and if the person got it right them they got to throw it in the other person’s face. It was great. But with the elders in our branch, we decided to do it with them. I did it with Elder Trujillo and he is super good at math, and the question was a math question and I knew that he was going to get it right, so as soon as he answered the question I threw the cake in his face and then we started to fight with the egg with the missionaries and the members. It was so much fun. We also gave a cool message that we are all children of God and it isn’t important what kind of mask we wear or use because we are all brothers and sisters. It was definitely a success. I love our branch, so much </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"></span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">This week we are going to have a baptism!!! Woooo!!! The first baptism in the area for 6 months. Her name is Milagros. She is amazing. She is a single mother and her daughter is a member. She has such a strong testimony and is going to be a super strong member in the church, she was going to get baptized a while ago but we found out that she had a boyfriend that was in Lima and we didn’t know if he was going to return and they would want to get married and baptized together. But then she talked with him and now he is not going to return and she is super excited for Saturday. We are super excited. :) </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">This last week we also moved houses!! Surprise!! We now do not live in a barbie dream house. We now live separated. We don’t live with our sister leaders. We live right next door to a member, it is great, we love our new house, it’s super quiet and in our area, when we lived with the other sisters we didn’t live in our area so now it is easier because we live in our area and we aren’t paying as much money for transportation. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">Yesterday was super fun we went to the branch president’s house and we ate ants for dinner. The pictures of those ants that we ate the other week. Yeah, we ate them for dinner last night. And they are super good. I know it sounds so weird but I LOVE THEM </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> I will bring some home, don’t worry </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US">Well, we got transfers!! I am still in the same area. But……I have a new companion! I was super sad to say goodbye to Hermana Resanovich but I am excited to get to know my new companion. Her name is Hermana Centeno. She is from Peru but more south close to Arequipá. She is super sweet and shorter than I am </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span></div>

<span lang="EN-US">This whole week I got to help her get to know our area and the people and the branch, she is super excited to be here and work here, she loves it. Like the whole mission says, Moyobamba is the paradise of the mission. And it’s true because of its climate and the people, it is the best. I am so happy that I get to spend a little bit more time here. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">This last week there isn’t too much to tell, we found some cool people but a lot of people were not home and weren’t available to listen to us. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">We went and did family history this last week for our families. And I got to enter and see all the work that my grandma is doing and the side of my dad as well. And it was awesome. I love doing family history I got to see everything. My relatives from Denmark, Sweden and England it was fun. We are going to do it again this week. I also found out we were doing it with the elders and I found out that I am related to one of the elders from waaaayyyyy far back. It’s pretty awesome. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">Well, I don’t have that much time today; I hope you all have an amazing week. And that your wildest dreams come true! </span></div>

<span lang="EN-US">Another week has come and gone. I think I say this every week but what a week. We had a really good week. There was a ton of sun! It was funny because we started out the week with a lot of rain and we proselyted soaking wet but then all of a sudden the climate changed and there was nothing but sun! Sun! Sun! And the sun here is super different than the sun in Iquitos. It burns you, but not your skin, like your soul. It sounds weird but for real. Two nights I couldn’t sleep because I felt super hot and my companion too. But we didn’t look sunburnt just tanned. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">But other than the horrible sun we found some pretty cool people. All the people that we found this last week wanted to talk and talk and talk, about everything. We would ask a question and they wouldn’t answer it, they would just go off subject and talk about something else and talk for like an hour. Haha, but it was fun. </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">We also got to do our own family history Friday in the morning. We went and filled in a lot of stuff for our family history, it was fun. Because we are teaching a lot of people about family history so we get to do our own family history to be the example. This is where I am super grateful for my Grandma because she works so hard to do family history and now I understand more of the importance to do it. </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span></div>
<div class="ecxMsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-US">We had a cool lesson the other night with less actives that I have told you guys about before. The husband was super stressed out and sad because he wants to move to Iquitos for work but his wife doesn’t want to go. But his mom lives there and just left prison and feels like he should be helping her. But we taught him a little bit that he gets to ask God and pray. Because we asked if he prayed about it and he was like ‘no’ and we were like ‘exactly, then you can’t leave yet.’ Haha it was a fun lesson and super spiritual </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span></div>

<span lang="EN-US">Today is transfers……dun dun dun….. haha we probably won’t get changed, we will see, wish us luck! </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span></div>

Well, this week was awesome. We started out the week making brownies on pday with some elders and some members of the branch, it was pretty fun and super yummy :) </div>
<div>
Thursday I had one year in the mission!!!! WOOOOO!!!!! So we bought a cake from this bread place that we live close to and we were all super excited and then we cut it open and saw that it had mold!!! So my companion tried to get out all of the mold so that we could eat some of it, and the whole thing had mold, we were super sad. And then one of the sisters that we live with, started a cake fight with the molding cake, it was pretty funny and fun :) Oh the joys of living in a house with 2 other sisters :) </div>
<div>
This last week on pday at night we went to go work and the last week we found this guy on the street that was like 'quiero que me visiten' (I want you guys to visit me) so we took his number and we called him and we went to go teach him on Monday at night and we found out that he was a less active. He began to tell us that he is a returned missionary and everything and that he has made a lot of mistakes, and he told us that the other day he was praying to see missionaries, he just wanted to see missionaries because he hadn't seen them in so long. And then he saw us walking the other day when he ran up to us and told us that he wanted us to visit him. I love experiences like that, for real, it makes being a missionary so cool. But he is awesome and we are now teaching his family that are not members as well :) </div>
<div>
We had a work visit this last week where I went in the area of my sister leaders and my companion was with one of the sister leaders in our area, it was fun, Hermana Vasquez and I are super alike, she is from the Dominican Republic, cool huh? But we had a good time and some pretty cool experiences. </div>
<div>
We finally got to watch conference this last week, and those North Americans got to watch in English, hallelujah! It was fun, and super weird, It was weird to talk in English so much, like I am used to writing in English on pdays but all the other time I am talking in Spanish with my companion, like all the time, unless she is studying English and that is only one hour a day. So I don't know what I am going to do when I get home and I need to speak English all the time.....</div>
<div>
But this week was really good, we had a lot of really cool experiences. :) I can feel myself growing so much as a person and I am super happy :)</div>

But this<br />last week we worked super hard. We had a lot of cool experiences with<br />the people in our area. We are teaching a girl that is 20 years old<br />that is absolutely adorable and super open to learn and attend church.<br />She was a reference of a less active that we were teaching. She is so<br />sweet and we started to teach her parents this last week and they are<br />super open as well to learn and the dad is always making jokes with<br />us, it is great we are super excited for them.<br />This last week we couldn’t watch conference because it is elections in<br />Peru on Sunday, so the law is that we can’t have a meeting, like no<br />church can get together for church service. So we just worked all day<br />on Sunday, it was super weird, we didn’t feel like it was Sunday at<br />all and we didn’t get to watch conference either, instead we are going<br />to watch conference this next week, all of Peru. <br />But we went with one of the less actives that we were going to teach<br />this last week and they have a bread store and they were putting all<br />the bread in their bags so we were like ‘hey! We came to help’ well, I<br />never knew that there were so many kinds of bread, there are tons!!<br />And I don’t know how the latinos do it but they make bread, cakes,<br />pastres so much better than we do in the states. I still haven’t<br />learned the secret yet. <br />This last week we found out that one of our less actives that we<br />absolutely love is moving to Chile, she left yesterday, but we were<br />super sad so we went with her and shared a message and took a ton of<br />pictures, it is the less active that I talked about in my other<br />letters that she has a son that she thinks is autistic. She is amazing<br />and has such a strong testimony, her husband isn’t a member but is<br />super willing to listen and learn and even wants to get baptized and<br />go to church, so we have faith that one day it will happen, because<br />she wants to go to the temple so bad.<br />Oh! This last week we also ate these ant things. Here in Moyobamba at<br />this time of the year there are these ants that start to leave the<br />ground in thunder storms that are called zigizapa and they are these<br />ants that they pull off the wings and they fry them with salt and they<br />eat them, and guess who got to eat some this last week? US! And they<br />were actually good, it reminded us of popcorn, weird, I know, it took<br />all my will to stick one of them in my mouth. But my companion was<br />like ´trust me, trust me, it’s good.´I put it in my mouth and I<br />actually forgot that I was eating an ant, it tasted exactly like<br />popcorn. Now I get why everyone here in Moyobamba talks about it and<br />they rush to the different parts of Moyo to find the ants and dig them<br />up. It’s pretty awesome, you can see them flying around and<br />everything.<br />Wooo….Well, I hope that everyone has an amazing week, there is a lot<br />of rain and cold here and I know that they weather is starting to get<br />cold there too, wear your coats and enjoy the start of the halloween<br />season, there is no halloween here!! Celebrate for me! <br />Hermana Larsen<br />
